Dredging vessels are vital to improve navigability and maritime safety by removing sediment from harbors and waterways. They protect the environment, prevent flooding, and support coastal protection as well as marine construction projects.
Ursa
The suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Ursa was tailor-made and designed to meet the specific requirements of the Maritime Office in Gdynia, Poland, such as dredging operations in very shallow waters. The vessel is used to maintain the depth in the Vistula Lagoon Canal and fairway in Poland.
